David

David Ballard began his building career in Florida as a renovation and remodeling contractor while serving as a fire fighter for the Boca Raton Fire Department and has been a licensed building contractor in both North Carolina and South Carolina with concentration in the Charlotte region since the early 1990’s.  As D. Ballard Construction, Inc., David’s experience has ranged from custom home building, acquisition and development of multiple subdivisions, remodeling of individual residential properties and development of multi-family affordable housing in contract with the City of Charlotte.

David and his wife Kim enjoy an empty nest as their four adult children pursue higher education and careers.  In addition to being a generally fun-loving guy, husband and parent, David is a private pilot with a passion for flying.  David is a graduate of The Kings College in New York City.
 

Chuck

Charles Winchester (Chuck) began his construction career as a young pup working in his father’s grading contracting business and with other building trades through his teen years with his sights set on obtaining his building contractors license as he became of age.  Chuck’s building contracting goals were interrupted by college and the recession of 1980, during which period he founded and then operated a manufacturing business for the next 20 years. 

 In the early 2000’s, Chuck returned to his passion for building as a custom home builder in the southeast Charlotte region focusing on the upper end residential market.  His projects spread through western Union county and south Mecklenburg county.

Chuck and his wife Carol also enjoy an empty nest as their three children pursue careers and their own young families.
